After mobile phones, Amazon India stops refunds on tablets, laptops and other electronic devices

After mobile phones, Amazon India stops refunds on tablets, laptops and other electronic devices
“Amazon India is no longer offering refunds on laptops, tablets, monitors, cameras and camera lenses”

Earlier in February, Amazon India updated its returns and refunds policy for mobiles. Under the new policy, buyers could no longer return mobile phones purchased on the e-tailer to get a refund, and could only get their phones replaced if the device was damaged or defective. Now the company has tweaked the same policy once again, which now includes more electronic devices like tablets and laptops.
As per the new policy, Amazon India is no longer offering refunds on electronics goods like laptops, tablets, monitors, cameras and camera lenses, which are purchased on or after May 11th 2016. Consumers are eligible for a replacement if they receive a defective or damaged product, which have to be returned within 10 days of delivery.

“All tablets, laptops, desktops, monitors, cameras and camera lenses that are fulfilled by Amazon and purchased on or after 11th May 2016 are eligible for a replacement only policy and will no longer be eligible for refunds. In case you have received a defective or a damaged product, you will be eligible for a free replacement,” reads the new policy on Amazon India’s website.

So if you are planning to buy a new laptop, tablet, desktop, monitor, camera or a camera lens, then keep in mind that you will no longer be able to return the device, and can get a replacement only. In addition, the new policy is only applicable to electronic goods that are fulfilled by Amazon. The same case is now with the furniture too.
