Skoda Kodiaq SUV spied on test
Czech car maker Skoda will finally step into the full-size SUV with the new Kodiaq. The new model seven years are expected to be revealed at this year's Paris Motor Show. Until then, the Kodiaq is still being tested on public roads, as seen in these spy shots.


The engine line-up for the Kodiaq will feature familiar VW Group engines, starting with a 1.4-liter turbo petrol unit. The more popular 1.6 or 2.0-liter diesel engines will also be on offer, in various states of tune. The latter will be the 237bhp twin-turbo diesel from the Volkswagen Passat. The Kodiaq will be available as front and four-wheel drive vehicles with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox option.
The concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show in an all-wheel drive petrol-electric hybrid powertrain and the production model is likely to feature the same tech. The Kodiaq are expected to be revealed later this year and go on sale at the beginning of 2017.
